Hannes Snellman acted as the Finnish counsel to Bauer Media Group, a leading European media business including print and online publishing, audio broadcasting, and entertainment, in its acquisition of Clear Channel Europe-North, a significant out-of-home media sector player, including a Finnish entity Clear Channel Suomi Oy. The acquisition extends Bauer Media Group’s European reach and strengthens its core media-related businesses.

Hannes Snellman successfully represented Outokumpu Corporation in an international ICC arbitration between Fennovoima Oy and Rosatom entities where RAOS Project Oy sought to join Outokumpu in 2023. The Arbitral Tribunal accepted Outokumpu’s position denying jurisdiction over Outokumpu and ending the arbitration with respect to Outokumpu.

In January 2023, RAOS Project filed a request to join Outokumpu in existing ICC arbitration proceedings, which related to the termination of the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract between Fennovoima and RAOS Project regarding the Hanhikivi nuclear power plant. In February 2025, the Arbitral Tribunal confirmed that it did not have jurisdiction to adjudicate the claims brought by RAOS Project and JSC Rusatom Energy International (JSC REIN) against Outokumpu.

Hannes Snellman advised AMF Tjänstepension AB in the disposal of its 33.3% stake in Mercada Oy, a joint venture formed by AMF, Ilmarinen Mutual Mutual Pension insurance Company and Kesko in 2015. Mercada owns 35 properties with 290,000 square meters of leasable area, consisting mainly of grocery stores with Kesko as a tenant, as well as two large shopping centers.

Acted as counsel to the sellers in the sale of a logistics portfolio consisting of assets in Finland spanning 134,000 square metres of leased space. The portfolio is wholly let to Posti Group, the main Finnish postal service and a third-party logistics services provider. The transaction has been cited as the largest real estate transaction executed in Finland in the year 2023.
